When I joined the EHS Safety Training Team, I saw immediate opportunities for growth and impact. My goal was to elevate the visual identity of EHS and bring it into closer alignment with the broader University of Michigan brand. Since then, I’ve led a wide range of creative projects - from digital posters and safety/compliance materials to photography, video production, and a full redesign of all EHS training courses.
Mentorship has also been a core part of my role. I've shared my experience in graphic design, photography, and creative workflows to help teammates expand their skills, develop confidence, and bring their own creative flair to our projects.
I've had the pleasure of working closely with Paul, and one of his standout strengths is his ability to take on last-minute design requests and deliver high-quality, accessible, and visually compelling materials under tight deadlines. He has a strong command of typography, color, and photo production and management, all while aligning his work with University of Michigan branding and accessibility standards. In our collaborative environment—working with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and UX/UI designers—Paul consistently brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach that enhances both the efficiency and impact of our communications. His use of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, combined with his responsiveness and creative insight, make him an invaluable asset to our team.
